Lecture notes & affordability

Open educational resources.

I'm a CSU Affordability Advocate and have built open resources that cut textbook costs for students, including an OER approach to linear algebra published in PRIMUS.

Lowering the cost of a math degree without lowering its quality. That work earned an OER Faculty Letter of Recognition and feeds directly into the courses I teach.

Affordability profile
The seminar

A weekly group seminar

Students present work in progress and completed projects, sharpen their presentations, and get feedback. Advanced topics and current topics of interest get discussed openly so students see the power of higher mathematics and its applications to the real world. We use the mantra “Math with a Purpose.”
